OUR STORY

The Amarillo Jazz Society champions live jazz and jazz education across Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle. Since 2006, we’ve built a welcoming home for listeners and learners alike—presenting concerts, hosting guest artists, and supporting young musicians through scholarships, private lessons, and travel opportunities.

We believe jazz is a living art form that grows through performance, mentorship, and community. Our programs bring inspiring artists to local stages and classrooms while creating opportunities for students to learn, perform, and connect. Whether you’re a longtime jazz fan or discovering the music for the first time, you’re invited to be part of the story.

Supporting Young Musicians

Scholarships, private lessons, and travel assistance help Amarillo-area students pursue their passion for jazz. By investing in young musicians, we help nurture the next generation of artists and keep the tradition of jazz alive in our community.

We present live performances featuring outstanding jazz artists, bringing nationally recognized musicians to Amarillo and creating unforgettable experiences for audiences across the region.

Guest Artist Workshops

Touring artists work directly with local students through masterclasses, rehearsals, and Q&A sessions that provide rare opportunities to learn from professional performers.

Jazz Education

Through scholarships, private lessons, and mentorship opportunities, the Amarillo Jazz Society helps students develop their musical skills and deepen their connection to jazz.

School & Partner Outreach

We partner with schools and community organizations to expand access to jazz through clinics, educational programs, and collaborative events throughout the Texas Panhandle.
